Why Use Agendas?
Agendas set the pace and expectations of the lesson. They keep time managed, keep student on task, organized, and focused. They are the road map to your lesson's destination. How do agendas keeps students on task and organized?
- Keeps a list ready to reference and set the tone of the lesson.
- Provide a road map to the daily objectives.
- Ensure everyone knows what is expected, when it is expected, and how they are going to meet the expectation.
How do I use these agendas for more than just a overview at the beginning of the lesson?
- Have students save a copy and check off what they have completed.
- Have students reflect and review the agenda at the end of the lesson and explain the objective as a ticket out.
- Have students create a visual timeline of events.
