I've spent 26 years in education as a classroom teacher, a principal, and a curriculum developer. I've sat in the planning meetings, walked the halls, and watched what actually works with middle and high school kids. Here's what I learned: students remember more when class is fun, and teachers do their best work when they aren't buried in prep.
That's why I started Learned Lessons. Every resource I make is no-prep and ready to teach, in print and digital, for grades 6–12. You'll find full-year curriculums, guided notes, DBQs, escape rooms, word walls, and more for social studies, science, and ELA.
When I was a principal, I never lost sight of the hard work that teachers put in every day to ensure students are engaged. I wanted to make sure my teachers were not overwhelmed and could leave the work at school and spend evenings with their families. One of my teachers encouraged me to begin using my tested teaching materials to start a business. I build the materials I used and still use to teach real students. These materials are low prep and high engagement.
